Congress' announcement stuck in three assemblies:

February 1 is the last day of nominations. Kanpur Congress has not been able to decide its candidates in three important assembly segments till January 30. The reason for this is said to be the stampede at the state level in the party. At the same time, there are many contenders in these three assemblies. After the announcement, the party is apprehensive of a rebellion. Those who have to get tickets have been asked to prepare for nominations. In Govindnagar assembly constituency, the party has made up its mind to field an old candidate. There is talk that Karishma Thakur is once again going to be the party's candidate from Govind Nagar.

Party confused over announcement in three assembly

The Congress has almost released the list of candidates for the first, second and third phase of elections. But in Kanpur, 3 assembly segments remain a matter of confusion for the party. Every day the date of the announcement is fixed and then cancelled. The reason behind this is being said to be that in the 3 assembly segments of Kanpur, there is a lot of tension among the contenders in Sisamau, Govind Nagar and Kalyanpur. In such a situation, the party does not want to take any kind of risk. That is why the party has to repeatedly reflect on making the announcement in these three assemblies.

Name of Karishma Thakur from Govind Nagar decided

There is a lot of talk in the Congress that the party is once again trying out the old face from govind nagar assembly. Karishma Thakur, who contested the 2020 by-election from here, is once again going to be the Congress candidate. Even though this has not been announced by the party leadership, it is common to discuss within the party that Karishma Thakur's ticket has been finalised. However, other claimants are still making rounds of Lucknow and are engaged in pushing.

Awaiting announcement in Kalyanpur and Sisamau

Congress North and South district presidents have also applied. Naushad Alum Mansoori of Congress North has filed his bid from Sisamau, while South's District President Shailendra Dixit had applied for candidature from Govind Nagar. Both these applications have put the party in a state of disrepair. In such a situation, it has become a headache for the party to accommodate them. The party is likely to field Shailendra Dikshit from Kalyanpur. The candidature of North district president Naushad Alam Mansuri from Sisamau is proving to be a bit difficult for the party. In such a situation, a middle path can be found by explaining them.
